Juan Alcala played for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in 2000 and reached as high as AAA in the Seattle Mariners organization. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Juan resides in the Fox Valley and helps all the catchers in the CBT program improve their catching skills and techniques.
In addition, Juan's son Silas plays in the program as a catcher himself and attends Little Chute High School.
Cavaiani on Alcala: "I've been so impressed with Juan in our meetings as he and I share similar mindsets on how to approach the game of baseball. His attention to detail is clear and our kids are going to benefit so much from having him around our facility all year long. It's always great to have any pros join our staff, but more importantly than Juan's playing background and baseball knowledge, he's an even better person. We're happy to have him."
