An Appleton West graduate and Hortonville resident, Thompson was an All-FVA Infielder and 3 year varsity starter for the Terrors. He received a scholarship at Division 1 Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA and spent his first two years there. He transferred to NAIA Clarke College and belted an impressive 16 Home Runs in 2 years leading the team in several offensive and defensive categories at shortstop, receiving 2nd-Team All Conference at Clarke.
A covid year granted him an additional year of eligibility where he finished up at NAIA Dakota State University where he batted .331 with 3 Home Runs and an impressive .972 fielding percentage starting every game at Shortstop.
In the summer of 2024, he played summer ball for the Palm Springs Power in Palm Spring, CA. Most recently, in the summer of 2025, he played professionally for the Boise Hawks in the Pioneer League.
Thompson joins CBT staff in the fall of 2025 and will work with all ages in the CBT program as well as conduct hitting and fielding lessons throughout the year.
