Cole Wilcox, a 2018 CBT Wolfpack Alum is joining the coaching staff. Cole is a Shiocton High School graduate, College of Lake County (Illinois) Graduate and recently an Eastern Michigan University Graduate.

An outfielder, Wilcox stood out with his excellent speed and defensive abilities. He boasted the fastest 60 yard dash time in the MAC Conference and was clocked as high as 98mph throwing from the outfield. In two years at EMU, he hit .248 with 1 home run and 14 stolen bases in 109 at bats.

Cavaiani on Wilcox: "It brings me great joy when my former players come back and join me on my staff to help younger players in their efforts to improve their baseball skills and journey as young men. There is no one I would pick over Cole to join me. Cole has a great personality combined with a work ethic and belief in himself that is very rare. 10 years ago, Cole was a very small 12/13 year old who didn't play a lot due to his size and skills at that time. To see where he's come to run the fastest 60 time in a division 1 conference and throw the ball nearly 100 miles per hour is simply an amazing story. He played junior college baseball and eventually earned a Division 1 scholarship at Eastern Michigan University. He inspired me through his journey and he went to levels beyond what I envisioned. All the credit to Cole as he put in the time and work to make it happen. I believe his story can and will inspire our current players that if you believe in yourself, block out all the negative things around you, and just keep working, great things will come to you. Cole is the epitome of these things and I'm so proud of him and am so happy he will be by my side coaching and helping the young men at CBT in all of our age levels. Our players are going to love Cole and I look forward to seeing his impact on our program that I have no doubt will be beyond significant."
